To edit a discussion post on Blackboard you can follow these steps:
Log in to your Blackboard account and navigate to the course in which the discussion post was created.
Locate the discussion board and blackboard gmu to find the post you want to edit.
Click on the “Edit” button located next to the post. This will open up the editing window.
Make the necessary changes to your post including adding headings if needed. You can use the formatting tools provided in the editor to add headings and format your post as desired.
Once you have finished editing your post review it carefully to ensure all changes have been made correctly.
How to delete a post on a blackboard discussion board student
To delete a post on the Blackboard discussion board as a student you can follow these steps:
Log in to your Blackboard account and navigate to the discussion board where your post is located.
Find the post you want to delete and click on the “More” icon (three dots) located on the right side of the post.
Select “Delete” from the options that appear.
Confirm that you want to delete the post by clicking “OK” on the popup message that appears.
If your post is 1000 words with headings you may need to delete each section of the post separately. To do this follow the same steps as above but highlight the text you want to delete before clicking on the “More” icon. Once you’ve selected “Delete” the highlighted text will be removed from your post.
Note that once you delete a post it cannot be recovered. So make sure you want to delete the post before confirming the action.

Click on the “Save” button to save your changes.
After saving your changes you can preview your post to ensure it appears as you intended.
If you are satisfied with your changes click on the “Submit” button to finalize your edited post.
Note: It is always a good practice for a Web developer to save a copy of your original post before editing it just in case you need to refer back to it later.
